During the four- day event, keynote sessions will be live-streamed at 9 AM and 11 AM PST. The Symposium will bring together leaders from education, government, military, and commercial agencies to discuss the latest strategies needed to secure our commercial and space assets from state and non-state cyber adversaries while addressing four key themes: • Defining the Problem Set: An overview of the status of space and the magnitude of securing our growing space-based resources. • Technology and Supply Chain Support for the Defense of Spacecraft: Developing cybersecurity support for the defense of spacecraft and the importance of security standards. • Workforce Development: Preparing the 21 st -century workforce needed to support increasing commercial space resources. • California’s Role in Building Solutions: An overview of what California is capable of doing to address the needs of the future. Eleni Kounalakis; Stewart Knox, undersecretary of California’s Labor & Workforce Development Agency; Maj. Gen. John E. Shaw, commander of the Combined Force Space Component for U.S. Space Command, and Space Operations Command of the newly formed U.S. Space Force at Vandenberg Air Force Base; Bong Gumahad, who directs the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4/ISR) Division in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment; and Cal Poly President Jeffrey D.
