Fill out this membership enrollment form or contact Jen Kvasnicka, NCAF P rogram M anager at ncaf@nchl.org National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NCAF) – Premier Program Overview NCAF provides administrative fellowship sites and graduate programs the tools to help their students when applying for administrative fellowships by creating a uniform coordinated recruitment process, providing access to national industry data, and providing opportunities for fellowship sites to share ideas, best practices, and expectations that allow for preparation of students for administrative fellowships. More than 80 hospitals and health systems, along with more than 35 graduate health management programs participate in NCAF. Starting in 2023, NCAF membership consists of two levels: Standard and Council. Standard Membership is $1,250. Council Membership is $5,000. Membership cycles run from January through December. New NCAF Fellowship Sites who join at the Standard Level are charged a one-time administrative fee of $500 to get set-up. This fee is waived for new NCAF Fellowship Sites who join at the Council Level. The committee consists of a sub-set of NCAF members, nominated by member organizations. NCAF BENCHMARKING SURVEY & EXECUTIVE SUMMARY DATA Access to yearly recruitment, benchmarking, and trend data as it relates to graduate programs, fellowship sites, graduate students, and administrative fellows. ACCESS TO THE NATIONAL ADMINISTATIVE FELLOWSHIP CENTRALIZED APPLICATION SYSTEM (NAFCAS) This nationally recognized one stop shop for administrative fellows’ recruitment during two annual cycles. ACCESS TO NAFCAS STUDENT FEE WAIVERS *ENHANCED FOR 2023* NCHL will provide all graduate program members a set number of student fee waiver to distribute to graduate student applying for an administrative fellowship. 2 Waivers 4 Waivers VIRTUAL NETWORKING OR EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS *ENHANCED 2023 BENEFIT* 3-4 virtual networking or educational sessions targeted toward early careerists, graduate students, fellowship sites and program leads. CONNECTION AND COLLABORATION FOR CURRENT FELLOWS *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* NCHL will host an annual call for all administrative fellows to build camaraderie and shared connection. BUILDING CONNECTION AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE FIELD OF PRACTICE AND ACADEMIA *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* • One (1) Joint In-Person; and • One (1) Joint Virtual Collaborative Council Meeting with GEHM (Academia) and LENS (Field of Practice) and NCAF Council Sites (Academia and Field of Practice) The in-person collaborative council meeting will be hosted at the NCHL All-Member Conference and limited 1 NCAF Council participant per organization. Invited LENS participants will be dependent on the focus of the collaborative meeting. The virtual collaborative council meeting will be hosted in spring or summer of 2023. There will be no limit to the number of participants from each NCAF Council member organization. The focus of these collaborative meetings will be built in partnership between committee/council chairs. NCAF COMMITTEE OR WORKGROUP PARTICIPATION Opportunity to participate in NCAF committees or workgroups which guide various aspects of the program evolution. Networking, peer to peer collaboration, and ability to direct the future of administrative fellowships. COMMUNICATIONS & VISIBILITY NCAF NEWSLETTER A bi-monthly newsletter with updates on fellowship recruitment, NCAF educational offerings, and more. Newsletter may be more frequent during fellowship recruitment. NATIONAL VISIBILITY & PROMOTION • National visibility, recognition, and searchability around on NCHL's year-round administrative fellowship directory • Promotion of administrative fellowship informational sessions • Promotion of program/org at fellowship fairs and industry events • Visible commitment to a standardized recruitment process and adherence to the Code of Good Practice MEMBER ONLY VIRTUAL DISCUSSION FORUM Accessed through the NCHL member portal, NCAF members will have access to a discussion board for asynchronous communication amongst other NCAF members.
