ESC Multi-Family Consortium Minutes from February 28, 2019 Vertical Subdivision Guide: At the Multifamily meeting held during the Charlotte TMAF, February 2018, a brain storming session was held to decide how the Vertical Subdivision Guide should be revised to become more “user friendly”. Members complained that at 89 pages in length it was too large to share with a targeted audience and, being from 2008, was now outdated. The room was divided into smaller workgroups and attendees were asked to discuss what sections should be eliminated and what were worth keeping. The majority felt all sections were worthwhile but the document needed to be consolidated. Barb worked with the product champs and received 3 referrals for companies who could provide a quote to updating the guide. When proposals were received the product champs selected the winning vendor and the project started. The vendor was instructed to consolidate and update the document but also to divide the guide into 9 separate documents. Each document could be shared on its own or the entire guide could still be shared. The new document, which is now 23 pages long, has been posted to the ESC site in the members only area for the Multifamily consortium under Other Deliverables. The original guide is still on the site because it contained graphics that are still useful. Future additions will be a PowerPoint presentation to coincide with each section. These will be great to use for a Lunch N Learn setting with developers, builders or A&E’s. Innovative Meter Sets: Overtime, several members have shared pictures of innovative meter sets that have been used for multifamily projects in their territory. These sets have been posted to the ESC site, under the members only section of the Multifamily Consortium under Other Deliverables.
